Breast lumps - help please

Okay, I know this is my 3rd thread in two days but I promise it's my last. Honest.

I had my GP appointment and she examined my breasts. She found that one was definitely lumpier than the other but she said she wasn't too concerned because she thought it felt as though it was glandular.

She asked me to continue to examine and to look out for any changes, particularly on the lumpy side.

Do you think the doctor definitely would have known the difference between it being glandular or being something more concerning? I know can't help but worry incase it is something more.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you both, I'm going to ring the clinic first thing tomorrow morning.

I have discharge coming from my nipple, a lump in my breast and then a niggle in my chest between my breast and collar bone. Oh god.

Helpme- I have very lumpy breasts too, its as if I have bubble wrap under my skin! I think lumpy breasts are very common.

Helpme214 · 26/06/2017 07:35

Good luck this morning Myheart

Please let us know how you get on Flowers

I know the signs are worrying but there are so many experts and so much knowledge now. Stay positive. Thinking of you.

Any news myheart?

Hi helpme, my referral letter was faxed to a different hospital today as wait time for urgent appointments at the first one was too long, just over a month.

The receptionist at doctors surgery faxed it at 12 as I was on the phone. They rang at 1:45 and I'm going in on Friday morning.

As I type this I can feel the pain in my boib/armpit.

Oh god, I can't believe this.

How are you coping with your anxiety? The only thing I don't get anxious about is my health. The irony!

MerryInthechelseahotel · 27/06/2017 20:34

Have you got someone supporting you my heart?

MyheartbelongstoG · 28/06/2017 13:59

I've spoken to a friend but that's it. I don't want people to worry until I know the bottom line on Friday.

MerryInthechelseahotel · 28/06/2017 14:36

It's a long time until Friday when you are worrying my heart most people would rather worry with you than have you worry alone. Don't be afraid to ask for someone to listen and also to maybe accompany you Flowers

DubiousCredentials · 28/06/2017 14:46

Thinking of you myheart Flowers

MyheartbelongstoG · 28/06/2017 17:36

Thank you both. I don't want anyone to feel the worry that is coming and going in waves. I have 3 children and they are all I can think about at the moment, they are only little really. Even if it's bad news I won't be telling them anything for a while.

I just wish it was Friday already!

MerryInthechelseahotel · 29/06/2017 16:29

Not too long now my heart what time is your appointment? Flowers

MyheartbelongstoG · 29/06/2017 17:02

Hi Merry, have to be there at 9:15. My closest friend has insisted she be there with me which is very nice of her.

Trying to keep busy today so that it's not on my mind too much.

I'm shitting myself, i'm not going to lie!

My kids are finished school tomorrow at 12 so I'm hoping I'll be finished in time. I'll update once I'm home.

Thanks for thinking of me x

Wolfiefan · 29/06/2017 17:51

Thinking of you here too.

MerryInthechelseahotel · 29/06/2017 20:38

We will all be thinking of you at 9.15. Try and sleep if you can. So pleased your friend is going with you Flowers

MyheartbelongstoG · 29/06/2017 22:33

Thank you Wolfie.

I doubt I'm going to sleep much, im currently browsing on here and trying to get on top of my washing.

I told my mum and she is devastated. Wish I hadn't said anything.

Wolfiefan · 29/06/2017 23:04

Washing? I have bloody piles of that.
Shall check in tomorrow.

Helpme214 · 30/06/2017 10:04

well it's good news for me thank goodness! I'm so relieved I can't tell you.

Had a mammogram on both breasts and ultrasound on the one that is giving me trouble. They said lumps could just be my breast tissue changing due to my age (38) and the discharge is likely to be caused by the milk ducts shortening which would also explain the inverted nipple.

Such a stressful week and now i have the worst headache ever.

Thank you all for your kind words and support, I reread this thread many times.

The last next to me wasn't so lucky and I can't get her off my mind even though i will never see her again.

It's crazy what you can convince yourself of!

flapjackfairy · 30/06/2017 14:45

myheart brilliant news, so pleased for you. Been following thread as I too am 38 and have been to breast clinic twice in last 2 years and had convinced myself it was something dreadful. I know we're only young(ish) really but I do feel since 35 things have started to drop / droop / bulge / go lumpy with my body Confused. Here's to the weekend Flowers
