Visual Migraine?

I am wondering if I may suffer from visual/ocular migraines. The symptoms I usually get are blurred vision in one or both eyes, and feeling slightly 'fuzzy' or woolly headed rather than dizzy. They last for up to an hour, and afterwards, I have a mild 'hangover' type headache.

I had a sudden feeling of nausea this morning when eating my breakfast, which has now turned into the fuzzy/woolly head feeling and slightly blurred vision.

I am definitely not hungover or pregnant. Grin Could this be visual migraine?

Sounds like an ocular migraine. I get them too but Also get numbness that starts in my left arm and slowly travels to my tongue/face. Very weird feeling.

This sounds like a mild ocular migraine. I suffer from these - they start with blurry vision, and then a line of bright, zig-zagging bright colour appears. It usually grows into a large arc that crosses from one side of my eyesight to the other. As it reaches the corner of my eye, I start to feel nauseous and dizzy. I am usually left with a sore head and find that they usually come back within 12 hours again.

If you think you might be suffering from them, go to a GP. They'll help you to identify what's causing them and possibly give you medicine that can be taken either daily or when the migraine starts in order to lessen its impact.

Sorry that you're having to deal with them, they're absolutely horrible and not many people understand!

Oh, that doesn't sound nice at all, dementedpixie. I don't get that symptom, thank goodness.

Yes I get ocular migraines and have all of those symptoms with them. I often feel hung over or tired for a couple of days afterwards.

Although mine is more of a flashing light sensation like being dazzled rather than blurred vision. A trip to your doctor would probably be a good idea to get it checked out properly.

Hi, I have these and see a neuro opthamologist for another condition but she diagnosed these too. I have flashes of light in the corners of my eyes, usually I don't get a headache with these. But can feel sick. I'm not sure there is any treatment but they don't bother me too much.
