Apricots. I know organic is better, but

why is this? I know the sulphur used when they are dried is bad, but do I really need to avoid them if I can't go organic? TIA

You just need to buy unsulphured apricots (they will be harder and browner than the sulphured variety).

We own a family wholefoods business (god this sounds like a plug! Really it isn't!) and we sell both sulphured and un-sulphured apricots

I doubt you'd come to any harm eating sulphured apricots in small quantities, however unsulphured is better given they don't contain the preservatives. Hope that helps.
