Opinions on DH's bite please?

DH was fine this morning but had an itchy ankle this morning. By lunchtime it had grown to this Hmm and he's having a hard time walking on it. He says he feels well in himself (other than the difficulty walking) so I've promised him we can skip the walk in clinic tonight (although of course I may renege if it gets worse!).

Any thoughts? We've got germolene and a plaster on the bite at the moment - it's the swelling that's worrying me.

Ps. DH says please excuse his disgusting feet. Grin

Hope it clears up soon.

I've just had a mini argument with dh after looking at his again. Apparently he is too busy to get his oozing blistering bite looked at. He's being ridiculous. Bet he is too busy to cope with an inpatient stay at hospital too if he doesn't get it looked at.
Why can't they take responsibility for their own health. grrr.

I hope he won't be so blase about it next time. OH reacted like that to a bite on a business trip to Switzerland and ended up having to fly home early on crutches.

Just in case they didn't make it clear, elevated means above the level of his heart.
Really get on top of it if it is cellulitis. Even though it's no longer infected, I can still feel mine aching and it happened before Valentine's Day.

My father in law had a patch of red skin on his body, spread a bit. Felt ok, few days later he began feeling flu like. Went to doctors and started having trouble breathing. Rushed to hospital, was necrotising fasciitis, very nearly lost him he was incredibly incredibly lucky. Always get an opinion on these things.
