Exhausted and desperate

Hi all. I am 4 months postpartum with my third child. I had a very traumatic birth / long surgery / heavy blood loss but after a few weeks I felt fine. In fact, felt great. Was full of beans and coping with hectic home life, three kids etc.
A few weeks ago I started to feel exhausted - a physical exhaustion that feels like I have run a marathon. My legs and arms feel weak so getting up stairs etc is hard work. It's been on and off but some days, like today, are awful and I am feeling desperate. I literally have no energy at all and am worried how I will get through the day.
Baby sleeping well so I am getting lots of sleep and all blood tests - iron and thyroid - are all normal. Does anyone have any ideas? This is not like me at all and I am so worried and upset.

With your blood loss, it might be worth asking your doc if they did a serum ferritin test. This could be low even if your circulating iron is fine. Anything under 40 (though this is considered in the 'normal' range) could cause fatigue and other symptoms. Vitamin D & B12 levels are always good to rule out too. Have they ruled out any underlying post partum infection? I had low ferritin and infection that wasn't picked up for weeks after birth and felt horrific! I hope you get to the bottom of it and feel better soon X
