What to expect from a referral to the breast clinic?

I saw my GP this morning regarding a strange mass in my breast, she's referred me to the breast clinic. I'm just wondering what to expect? Thanks for any advice.

Only just had a chance to MN.

How do you feel about that? Do you feel reassured by a quick prod?

I may be feeling slightly envious in that I had to endure 6 bloody biopsies 😆

I am. Or at least I was, now I'm questioning if I should have pushed for more testing? She did have a really good examine and explained that there was nothing to suggest anything was wrong in the sample taken. But the lump is definitely still there.

I think it is strange that they say the needle sample was inadequate. I would have thought they would have taken another needle sample or a core biopsy.

My initial results were inadequate as the findings did not find anything wrong, but also did not explain the presence of the lump.

See how you feel in a day or two, discuss it with your loved ones, but if it is still concerning you then ask for more reassurance.

Hope all is well usernot

She did a good job explaining why I'd been called back and I came away feeling reassured and relieved. But then have been thinking 'but it's still there and I don't know what it is'. I'll be keeping a close eye on it and will go back to my GP if it changes or I feel I need the reassurance.

That sounds like an excellent plan Smile
