Does this sound like a thyroid thing or something else?

Going to the gp at 7, been waiting over a week for an apt, in the mean time I've gained a hideous cold so that's anniying. Anyway here are my symptoms- they've been coming and going but have now had them solidly for 3 weeks. I may or may not feel better for a few days before I get it again. The gaps where I feel well are getting shorter. The symptoms are pretty random:

Bone crushing exhaustion that comes on qyite suddenly- often have to sleep in afternoon and even after a full nights sleep (though I don't feel like I am sleeping very well) I find it really hard to wake up
Weakness in my legs- of the feel like. My knees are collapsing
Arms and legs feel heavy like I'm dragging myself around
nausea but never vomiting
Diarroeah/ loose stools -2-4 times a day (this is also not that abnormal for me as I do have ibs)
Cold feet
Feeling jittery/nervous/anxious for no reason
Feels like heart is racing but don't think it is
Since feb I have unintentionally lost 1.5 stone. I was and still am to be fair quite overweight. I've dropped 2 dress sizes. Am still eating the same (apart from when I have the nausea)
Feeling hot, sometimes in waves and quite suddenly.
I am 41. I no longer have periods as I had an endometrial ablation a couple years ago so I can't tell if it's anythibg in that department

I don't think I've forgotten anything. It's seemingky quite a random list. I don't know if they're all connected. I planned to ask my gp to do a thyroid test but I'm not sure. Should I ask for a hormone test too??

I had a lot of those symptoms, hyperthyroidism is what I have. They should definitely test for it. It's nigh on impossible to lose weight for no reason st all. Mine is nicely under control now.

Yes, it sounds like I did when I developed an overactive thyroid.
Soon sorted with treatment but at the time I felt dreadful. All of the symptoms mentioned and a unquenchable thirst and shakes. I thought it was gonna be diabetes which is what they were mainly testing for but luckily my doctor was on the ball and tested for thyroid too.

I have a lot of those symptoms and I am hypothyroid (low thyroid) but if you've only had them for the last 3 weeks it could just as easily be a nasty virus.

Ah that's intersesting. Yes I get shakes too. In my hands. I look like an alcoholic Blush the annoying thing is I had been thinking under active due to the tiredness.. But yeah the weight loss is weird. People are commenting on it at work. Funny you said about diabetes as that was also one of my concerns. As sometimes I feel terrible like I might have low blood sugar and I have a bottle of full fat coke and then I am seemjngly ok.
All these years I've tried desperately to lose weight and it has Never come off. I've always had to basically starve myself to even lose a single lb. so this is an odd turn of events. Yes I am very thirsty too

Fairy- the most recent (current) bout has been 3 weeks. I've been having the symptoms on and off for months
