Can red peppers cause vomitting in 11 months old?

11 months old dd ate a piece of fried red pepper last night and has been vomitting FOUNTAINS this morning. She has not been able to keep in anything (tried diluted formula milk). Has anyone experienced this? Or does it have to be a bug?
And what is safe to give to her to get her stomach back on track?
TIA

It could be an allergic reaction, any other signs? Was it the first time she's had pepper? Plain, bland food is usually best. My ds will always eat potato and pasta, even when he's not really on top form.

BRAT apparently

banana, rice, apple, toast all good for poorly tummies

No experience with allergies etc, but would think it is not the pepper if she ate it last night and is only vomiting today.

Do have lots of experience with vomiting baby though! Always find weetabix stays down when other stuff doesn't.

Hope DD feels better soon. Hope someone with more knowledge comes along soon too!!

She didn't have any other sign of allergy or anything like that, seemed quite happy even and didn't cry during the night (though she was a awake for an hour or so but that sometimes happens).
She didn't want to drink any water or anything.

If it's any help, I can eat green, yellow and orange peppers with impunity but red peppers make my tummy feel dreadful and can't stand them. Maybe she doesn't agree with them either.

What is strange is, that she is still vomitting everything up, nothing stays inside her.

Just keep her fluid levels up then - water or diluted apple juice for a modicum of calories (not even milk). Ds1 had this at about the same age and lasted about 24h. GP recommended 2-3oz of clear fluid once an hour and monitor for dryness.

Thank you hannahsaunt. Will try that. Though no luck to give her even water.
