I am getting this more often. White and cold. Sometimes tingly. Not always the same fingers. Can happen at weird times eg when running, or just driving.

Dr Google throws up Raynaulds

Carpal tunnel?
I get that a lot; top halfs of fingers go white and numb, not always the same fingers, often when I'm driving or cooking, weirdly.

Does sound like raynaulds.

TheFaerieQueene · 30/04/2017 22:19

I wonder if it is Reynaulds too. It sounds like it.

Definitely see your GP. This is absolutely a symptom of Raynaud's. However, there are illnesses/viruses that can temporarily bring on an auto immune response and mimic Raynaud's.

I had your symptom last year, along with a boatload of other pretty terrifying symptoms. It was difficult to diagnose but I had Parvovirus which left me with numb, cold, blue then white fingertips for months. It took about 9 months for me to stop showing symptoms. I still get tingling, numb fingertips from time to time.
But when I was ill, it was chronic and my hands would go dead all night in my sleep.

Do you have other symptoms?

Your GP can run blood tests like an ANA, ESR, CRP but I would push hard to be referred to a rheumatologist if the results come back even borderline normal. The rheumatologist offers more detailed diagnostic tests. Good luck!

No other symptoms but have been under a lot of stress recently.

Apologies for the double thread!

Get your thyroid checked!

So if it's Raynauds what does that mean? Will it progress? Or something to just get used to?

Raynauds can just be a thing or it can be symptomatic of something else going on. Worth running past a dr but really, it's just a case of making sure your fingers don't get cold.
