What could this rash be?

Ds came home from nursery a bit "off" but put it down to tiredness after a busy day (still could be). Noticed a reddish mark on his cheek and what looked a bit like an insect bite (white raised smooth bump). Bit before tea, noticed another one by his eye.
Anyway just getting his pjs on, he's got one on his arm which he says hurts, one on his tummy and a whole crop of them behind his knee (which looks like a nettle rash), and a big red patch on front of thigh (how it would look if you'd been pressing against the radiator for a while).
Any ideas? He had chicken pox very badly at 15 months old. He's now 4.
Thanks.

Don't really know, bot bumping for you. possibly hives from being allergic to something?
try NHS direct

Flea bites?

I only suggest it as a friends little boy had strange spots around his lower legs, shoulders and neck and thats what they turned out to be. They spent ages trying to eliminate things like washing powder, bath products etc and eventually pharmacist diagnosed them.

Thanks. They do look like bites or nettle rash. Will see what it looks like in the am and if its still there will wander along to friendly chemist.

My 3 yearold came home from nursery with a few red raised spots. These rapidly turned into giant urticaria from head to foot. They had given him a carton of "pure orange juice" and he is allergic to orange colouring.............. This was many years ago, i hasten to add, but I would put money on it being something he ate or drank.

If you have any antihistamine in the house you could try giving him some, and if the rash goes down you can conclude that he has had something he is allergic to. (Then you have to find out what) Hope he feels better soon.

Thanks 3littlefrogs.
I asked him if they'd done any baking, or had anything extra to eat (he takes packed lunch) and he said no. But it was a child's birthday so they may have had something although ds denies this!
