Ovulation help

Hello ladies--
I am just wondering if anyone can offer me any advice really

We have been ttc for about 7/8 months now and had a MMC April of last year...
my periods are irregular I get one every 3 months :/
I have had a scan and everything was normal and came back fine. I've had blood tests and my Lh hormone came back slightly raised but the doctors said they wasn't worried about it.
In Feb this year I got prescribed some tablets to 'kick' start my periods and then I got 2 more boxes last month & currently waiting to see if I ovulate. I was meant to ovulate today according to a period app but online it says I will ovulate Thursday... I am worrying as I've been using opks for a few months now and I wouldn't ever say I've ever see a positive ?.. I've had one that's been close but I am really worrying that I am not ovulating because my periods are irregular?..
Can anyone suggest what I should do should I wait for Thursday and see if I ovulate? And then if not call the doctors. As I don't really want to start another box of the tablets to bring on AF if I'm not ovulating?

I do not know how old you are but some GPs seem to know very little about fertility. If your LH is already quite high, depending on what medication you have been given, it may not work. I was in a similar position and finally got proper help from a fertility clinic. It sounds as if you are ovulating every 3 months. Have you read Toni Weschlers book 'taking charge of your fertility'? This book tells you all you could possibly want to know, and more, about your cycle.

He said it wasn't like really high but just abit raised.
I have heard a lot about that book and I might order it and try it out as it looks very good...
it's just so hard isn't it to know what's really going on lol

Irregular periods are often caused by hormonal imbalances and a common cause of that issue is a condition called PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). This can cause periods to become irregular as yours are and I note your LH level was raised (again often seen with polycystic ovaries). It is very likely that you are currently not ovulating regularly if at all and it is possible to have periods without ovulating.

Were you given something like provera to bring on a bleed; this is only a short term measure and does not address why your periods are irregular to begin with.

I would stop using period apps and OPKs because these are a waste of time in your particular circumstances. I would ask your GP to refer you to a gynaecologist and do not take no for an answer.

Did they measure FSH (follicle stimulation hormone) at the same time your LH level was checked?.

I have had scans and they have found no cysts on my ovaries and have been told my ovaries are fine. I did think about pcos too but they told me that my ovaries are fine :/??
I got given norethisterone to help regulate my periods which I think might be the same as the one you said...
I am just worrying I am not ovulating. Do you think I should call the doctors again? They said I can be referred to the gynocologist but what do they do there as the doctor told me that if it was anything bad wrong it would of shown in my blood test and scan?
My Fsh levels were checked also and they were fine I got told?..
If my Lh is raised what does that exactly mean?

Also when I had my ultrasound scan to check my ovaries she said I have no fluid in my ovaries either? And they looked absolutely fine

I think they have missed the imbalance between LH and FSH; the fact that LH is raised compared to FSH may indicate polycystic ovaries.
Norethisterone also delays periods.

The cystic follicles associated with PCO are very small and do disappear only to be replaced by other follicles. You have irregular periods for a reason and it is very much in your interests to find out why that is. I would therefore ask the doctor to refer you to a gynae for further evaluation. You need a diagnosis first and foremost.

I have called the doctors and getting a call back tmo so I will be saying to them I want to be referred asap as I don't want to wait for fhe tablets to run out to be referred would rather get the ball rolling now if you no what I mean.

With pcos it's still possible to become pregnant isn't it? I always worry
I guess I would rather find out asap but they didn't seem concerned about the level being raised at all. I think I will make sure I am stern with them tmo otherwise I don't think they will do anything.

I got pregnant as soon as I came off the pill last December and since I had a MMC my periods have been so irregular

Being referred to the gynocologist tmo at my appointment.
I asked about poly cycstic ovaries and they told me it would defo of come back in my bloods and defo of been shown in my scan xx

Ladies can you offer some advice please on thee OPKs
So last month i brought the extra sensitive opks as my hormone level of Lh was high so got told to try sensitive ones as I had no luck with the other ones I have ...

Can you look at these two pictures from today and let me know if you think ovulation is coming?.. I am meant to ovulate tomorrow. I have been doing these since coming off AF and these by far are the darkest ones.
The first picture is this mornings one at 9.30am and the second one was done at 12.20 this afternoon.
