my son had amoxycillin for ear infections and has always had to have 3 doses within the first day. i was told to make sure there is around 4 hours between doses if possible.

when it's bad i usually wake during the night and keep the doses strictly 8 hours apart after that but im lucky my son will take medicine when he's half asleep with a medicine syringe then go back to sleep.

could that be an idea for you? i did it around 10.30pm then 6.30am then 2.30pm again.

good luck.i know it's horrible.my son gets it alot as well as ear infections.

I personally wouldn't have any worries administering it now, my DS was on anti b's for ages when he had pneumonia and I used to give him it when i could get it into him- and sometimes the last two doses would only be a couple of hours apart. Is absolutely fine IMO

This works well for us (he doesn't choke at all!)

When my 21 month old is on antibitics I always give it to him with a syringe. If he is asleep I don't wake him up at all just trickle it in to his mouth. He sucks away quite happily on the syringe as if it were a bottle and as I said before he never chokes. It's normally the easiest dose of the day.

If your daughter is 15 this may not work of course!!!
