Thickened womb lining

I have been told i have thickening of the womb lining and referred to hospital on a 2 week wait. I'm really worried it may be cancerous

Has anyone had this and what was your outcome.

Hi everyone just a typing error it was a Hysteroscopy I had done yesterday not a hysterectomy.

Hi consultant came round after the procedure under ga . He said in his opinion all looked ok no masses etc . Still to get results from biopsy get them on Tuesday so praying that will be good news . All you ladies are in my thoughts .

Went for a biopsy and hysterectomy last Thursday (week ago) . Have 19mm lining. Finally Went to doc originally for heavy periods (should have gone sooner had them for last 5 years), after scan results was booked for a biopsy within 2 weeks. Anyway, for last 2 days I have been totally flooding with blood. Went to docs as emergency today and given some pills to stop the bleeding. 10 days worth. Hope they work. Am anxiously waiting biopsy results which will take another 3 weeks. Has anymore else had experience of heavy bleeding a week after biopsy? It’s very scarey!

Also a typing error. Predictive text . Had a hysteroscopy. Not hysterectomy.!

Only just joined this mumsnet , I am in exactly the same position as u, 43, 3kids, massive bleeds, missed periods throughout some of last year, had a biopsy last week, was awful for me personally, been on tran acid, and now norethisterone, had an ultrasound couple weeks ago hence having a 2 week app with a gynae doc, not a very nice or helpful one at that either? Still heavy bleeding, been worried as I have a lot of cancer in my family! They have told me to now wait another 2 weeks for the biopsy results? Can’t live properly whilst bleeding so heavy all the time? Any help is appreciated? X
