GPs or wait it out?

Am really bad at deciding whether to go to Dr so thought I would garner opinions.

We have all had a cold and cough but I seem worse than others. DD was quite poorly though.

I had tickly chest all last week then on Friday felt hot cold and dizzy.

On Sunday suddenly felt really dreadful..Dizzy, feverish and fluey.

Tried to go to work but couldnt manage. Since came home Monday have felt boiling hoqt (temp over 38) and had streaming head and coughing fits which are making me be sick. When woke this morning felt hot and cold and dizzy and quite out of it. Yesterday was breathless for a while. After coughing cheat feels reallt heavy and am exhausted.

Just flu or could i have a chest infection?

Do i need to drag self to GP or should i just take it easy.

Yes phlegm is dark orange yellow.

Temp has been 38.1

Not breathless today just heavy feeling chest.

No other health conditions :)

Yeah go to walk in centre, I would probably prescribe on those symptoms after checking you over x

No walk in centres here though (scotland) need to go through NHS 24 rigmarole.

Thats a right pain in the behind!! Hope you get sorted somehow!

Didn't manage to phone yet as my mum turned up quite confused and DD (severe SN) came home from school ravenous. But i think temp has come down so might hols off until tomorrow. Can't wait until DH gets home at 6pm though so i can go to bed!

Managed to get an appt this morning but think i am on mend as im going to be able to get myself there rather than feeling like cant get out of bed. So feel like a time waster!

Will go anyway as was coughing til sick last night and this morning though
