turpentine and thrush

Just wondering if anyone has used turpentine to kill off thrush or any other symptoms of candida?
I've had it on and off since I was 18 (30 years ago) and recently it just keeps coming back. I have used canestan, treated partner, am on the mirena coil so no periods.

Please don't douse your special area with turps.

Have you taken the tablet as well? Sometimes you have to clear your system. No panti liners, only cotton undies washed on a high wash, only use water to wash.. no soap.. a change of laundry detergent with an extra rinse in the cycle.

aqueous Cream is good for washing if you don't want to use just water.

Take a good probiotic, Symprove or Optibac. No turps, please no.

How much sugar do you eat?

I was thinking of ingesting it on a sugar cube as recommended by Dr Jennifer Daniels and some weird Canadian guy whose name I can't remember. Don't eat a lot of sugar, apart from fruit - vegan diet, take probiotic. Dr doesn't prescribe tablets and have limited funds. It seems that turpentine is an old fashioned remedy for many things that has a bad rep and some forums report success but I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else had tried that approach.

Do not use turpentine. It won't cure thrush. Then as already said, high temperature washing of cotton underwear without harsh detergents - surecare is good. No thongs or tight fitting knickers. Avoid tight fitting jeans too. Pessary and cream combined with tablet to knock it on head - follow up a fortnight layer with second tablet.
Avoid bubble baths. Soaps, anything scented in the nether regions. Probiotics might help.

I think I have read somewhere about the link between a vegan diet and candida overgrowth? Sorry I can't remember the specifics but worth investigating. Wikipedia says turps works for thrush! Never heard that one before.

I work with turps as an artist and it's highly toxic stuff and it quite categorically states on the bottle do not ingest. What a stupid thing to think of doing.

You can buy the own brand tablet for around 4 quid. It doesn't have to be branded.

You could try a cooled boiled water douche with some distilled white vinegar used daily for a week to try to restore correct ph levels. Can't remember the quantities but should be info online. I used to suffer a lot of itching when young and every doctor handed out thrush treatments like sweets, some without even examining me! Got sent to gyne who was appauled how much treatment I'd been given and recommended the vinegar douche. Found it helpful and soothing but unsure if I actually had thrush. Stop using soaps like others have said, avoid nylon tights ect and yes surecare laundry detergent is good. Avoid conditioners too.

I too am an artist who works with turpentine so i understand all the concerns. this is not something I have just decided to try on a whim. I have researched it and there is some evidence in its favour.
One needs to remember pharmaceutical companies like to spread fear about old fashioned remedies that worked because they don't make any money.
I am aware of all the options suggested having suffered from this for so long, so thank you for that. I just wanted to know if anyone had actually tried it.

You can bet the tablet from Amazon for about £2, op. I think it's called diflucan. Sorry I don't know about turpentine. What's it made of? Why does whoever it is think it will kill yeast?

Pharmaceutical companies aren't spreading fear about ingesting turps.
The manufacturers of turps by law have to clearly mark the containers as hazardous to health if ingested, because it is.
You really, really don't want chemical burns and precancerous cell changes in the lining of your oesophagus.
