My baby was very windy himself and still is at 11 months and I feel very guilty as I am breastfeeding.. Does anybody have any ideas what to do? A GP was no help as he only advised not to eat cabbage onion and beans, arggghhhh!! pls help if anybody experineced the same or heard about such a situation or knows something, Im very stressed as my ds does not sleep either.. Sorry you and baby both having stomach probs. Can't see why you should feel guilty unless you purposely pumped wind into your baby! If you are still bf at 11 months you should be proud, not guilty. Did you have a caesarean by any chance? Or much pelvic floor damage at the birth?

Peppermint settles the stomach; so does ginger. Have you tried herbal teas containing either of these?

tea tree, i have had a similar problems since the birth of my dd six months ago.i have tried cutting out things from my diet but didnt really make a difference. i asked my GP if it might have anything to do with c-section and she said no.
i second peppermint tea though, it really does work, and respect for the fact that you're still bf

Hi Olivo & Elasticwoman,
sorry for late response, ds was sick for quite a while so I didnt have the chance to log in at all being tired like hell as his sleeping got even worse..
Thanks very much for your tips, I didnt know pepermint tea helps but I do generally drink herbal teas and love nettle, pepermint etc.. unfortunately it does not help really as my situation is the same.. I had normal birth as well as I didnt even have stitches, so it shouldnt be that either..
I wonder if i should see another GP ..
Thanks for your support tho..
