and if so when is the best time of the day/month. How regularly should you do it? Presume it is better to do it when breasts are emptier?

I didn't bother. But if you want to, why should the day of the month be any different to when you're not bf? Am assuming you have an older baby or toddler if AF returned.

re: day of month, thought that when you are having normal cycles you are meant to check half way between periods. that why I asked about day of the month. i have DS 6, DD 3 and DD 4m. AF not yet returned
anyone else have any thoughts?

If AF not returned, how can you tell what day of the month it is? Or am I being v dim here?

I checked and found a lump. Chances of it being a problem whist b/f were apparently small, but big enough to warrent having to go for all the tests and stuff.

Don't think there is any 'best' time. I check whenever I remember - about once a week / two weeks. Definately do it whilst on empty. I had to make sure I had b/f recently before each hospital appointment. It was definately easier to feel when empty.

Don't panic (like I did) if you feel anything. 'tis likely to be a milky lump. I forget the technical term they gave it.

Elastic woman you are not being dim. I was being a bit thick myself. days of the month are not relevant when Af not yet returned. Thanks wriggle jiggle for your advice. Will do it every couple of weeks when I remember.
BTW think Af returned today!
