Cervical erosion....Please reassure me!

Examined by doc today as some abnormal bleeding after sex...
She concluded that there was a large cervical erosion and filled out a cervical cancer form.

I'm bricking it ☹️☹️☹️

Just looking for some reassurance really....

Remember, she has a duty of care towards you and this is her job. If she wasn't over cautious then something very unlikely was there then the conciquenses for her career would be massive. Therefore she has referred you to cover everything. She's very good at her job really.

Hi everyone I had a call yesterday to go in today to the gynae unit. Had ovary/tube check then consultant took a look and confirmed an erosion but also a 'benign' looking other growth ??

Anyway, now referred for colposcopy...was marked 'urgent' 🙁Feel really worried all over again. Has anyone ever had a colposcopy where everything actually turned out ok???? Everywhere I read (I know, I know can't help it) procedures are now inevitable 🙁Sick with worry but also know I have to just get through it...

Hi Anotherdream! Well, in the end it turned out to be nothing...I seem to remember some silver nitrate was applied on erosion but there were no concerns and it’s never bled again either. Also the apparent growth wasn’t seen again so just put down to area being a bit irritated.
