Possible endometriosis not getting laperoscopy

Since I started my periods they've made me feel sick and dizzy, I get sharp shooting pains in my bottom, legs and lower stomach. have a dull continuous pain in my back and I load up on as much ibuprofen as I'm allowed or go to the Drs for stronger so I can take time off work and effectively knock myself out/sleep 3 days. I had rectal bleeding but just on my period, as well as them being irregular and heavy/clot filled so Dr put me on depo from 15-23.

I came off this to try for a family but 8 years later and we've not been successful. We've been to fertility clinics where I asked about endo but they checked me for PCOS which despite having a few cysts they said it would be almost normal/potentially very mild. Due to moving etc we had to stop that clinic and haven't really tried (just unprotected sex, but not dates etc) as we've been doing up the house/are saving less than we'd like.

On my last period I had massive gush of blood from bottom instead of just a tablespoon amount. I was at work and leaked through a pad, pants, thick tights, thick winter dress and into my work chair leaving a stain as big as 2 50ps (so not a little dot). Went to Dr who said they'd reconmend I get a laparoscopy and I'd wait for appt.

Just got letter from my hospital and it's for an ultrasound. I'm so frustrated I cried. I've had this before, I get that the nhs is free to me but I feel no one is caring that I'm bleeding from my bottom once a month as well as a heavy period. I'm sore, I've had this before, I want help.

I thought I'd just get the laparoscopy, has anyone went through this? Is the laperoscpy next? My appts in 2 months and it's amother of those ultrasound drink lots of water ones (that I had at least once every 2 years whilst on my period to search for cause of pain or infertility)

Sorry this is so long, and for spelling mistakes, writing it all downs set me off again.

I would phone the hospital department in question and talk to them further about this matter. You may also want to talk to PALS and your GP also (to request a referral to a gynaecologist if that has not already happened).

If endometriosis is present (and it cannot be ruled out here at all, it could well be endometriosis you are dealing with as well) an ultrasound scan will not detect it anyway as these deposits are so very small. It will simply assess the state of your uterine cavity and ovaries.

You will need to be persistent in order to get answers, do not allow yourself to be fobbed off.

Is it the ultrasound in 2 months?
If so I would ring now and make an appt with your GP and ask when you are going to see the gynaecologist.
You have to see a gynaecologist before they book a laparoscopy. It is surgery under a general anaesthetic so has risks but they will only suggest/allow it if there are benefits to it.
Suspected endometriosis can be treated without laparoscopy, but the treatments often are contraceptions, which you dont want.

Make sure you are referred to gynaecologist.

Thank you so much for your replies. Yes, the ultrasound is in late February so 2 months away, and it's in the gynae department. Maybe I've just been rash, so I will see if someone will speak to me then.
I just got so worked up in myself, I thought of all the worst things the bleeding could be if it wasn't endo and got upset. i just got it in my head that I was going to be sorted then have a better chance of conceiving so should have just calmed down. Thank you again.

Try phoning ultrasound department and asking for earlier appointment especially if you can go at short notice (and so be fitted in to appointment freed by a cancellation). This might speed up ultrasound and help you get to the next stage. I recently got an appointment the same week doing this (on PALS advice). I feel for you with heavy periods, they're horrible.
