Ds keeps saying his "willy is a bit sore" - advise me please!

Ds is 2.3 and has been telling me this for a few days. It looks ok, a bit pink at the end when he comes out of the bath. It also looks like it has some tiny spots on it but at other times they don't seem to be there. Most of the time he won't let me go near it to have a look but if distracted, I can sometimes touch it. Am trying to establish if it is sore all of the time or if this is working for him as an attention thing (there are a few of those at the moment).

I don't want to go to the GP unless I need to. Any suggestions? Is this something that should be looked at or is it just something that happens sometimes?

why don't you want to go to gp?

if something was wrong with my childrens 'bits' i would DEMAND instant appointment.

well i dont really know but wondered if it could be thrush? no idea how he might have contracted it tho?!
my 2 ds never had it, i think you should take him to the GP. its prob nothing much to worry about and easily treatable with a cream.

Take him to GP. He needs - at very least - Canastan cream, but may need antibiotics.
(I'm another one who doesn't take a child to GP unless their leg is hanging off - but ds has ahd this twice and it does need treated quickly)

Thanks coddy - is that likely in a 2yo? I thought this sort of stuff came a bit later. I'm probably wrong though!

Custardo - I just don't like running down there every time something is wrong. Don't mind going, just not my first inclination

Thanks to everyone who posted. Have just come back and ds has an infection (both blood and protein in the urine), so we have anti-b's and hopefully, a much improved ds over the weekend.
