Found a lump in breast

Came back from holiday yesterday and noticed quite a large lump in my right breast last night.

Now I'm worrying because I can't help it.

No history of breast cancer in the family and I'm 31. Now I can't stop messing with it.

Sounds a stupid question but do I make an emergency gp appointment on Monday morning?

So many close family and friends have had cancer in the last 2 years so I can't help thinking the worst.

Definitely being proactive you are, I can completely understand you feeling worn down by waiting. The worrying is tiresome, even if you try not to let it bother you it's constantly on your mind (well if you're like me that is). I'm sure when you get your results - which will hopefully be all clear - you will feel a stone lighter and knackered with relief. Hope you have something nice planned over the weekend to try and distract you xxx

The breast clinic rang this morning and the results show it's normal breast tissue and nothing to worry about. Phew! It's been a long weekend waiting but the news was worth it. Xxxx

My appointment is in a couple of hours. It got moved from Wednesday. They said I will have my results today too. Feeling anxious but glad to get it looked at sooner than later.

Thanks arty. Yes I never check my breasts either, so I've got no idea how long the lump has been there for.

I had the scan and the sonographer said it's definitely not a cyst and she did 2 core biopsies on the lump, which is 3cm big approx. I'll get my results next Monday afternoon. The breast surgeon said it could be a fibroadanoma, and didn't presume what it might be if it isn't.

Will be a long week x
