Just wondering if anyone out there has had any treatment for varicose veins. Just noticed one on my leg getting worse. I'm 26 and knew I would have a problem one day because my mum had them bad aswell as my older sister. Would appreciate any advice

Mine are bad but only on one leg and they got worse after each pregnancy (4 children). I am due to have them 'done' but they wouldn't do a general until my thyroid had been sorted - it now has been (more or less) so hopefully they will be done soon. I would like to know what it's like post op and how soon you are running around as normal as the logistics of sorting the kids out is a bit of a nightmare!

If you are interested in something alternative, ask in your health shop for Bioforce Aesculus(horse chestnut). it comes in drops or tablets (drops will work better) and gel to rub on(will not cure them, but will ease any discomfort).

it works on varicose veins, varicose ezcema and varicose ulcers. It does take several months to really get to work, but can have fantastic results, even on the worst veins.

Dont use if on warfarin/aspirin.
