Gallstones... Diet advice?

So have enjoyed my first gallstone experience this week, now loaded up on codeine and awaiting next steps.

Have I eaten my last cream tea? Sad I am a real dairy lover, are glasses of milk, buttery bread, cheese on toast, pizza etc all of the menu forever? for a while now?

Not a problem shirt term as feeling so unwell the thought of eating anything is horrifying so I have only had lucozade and squash.

But what are your top tips? Time for me to embrace rice and cous cous recipes?

Huge sympathy to every suffering Flowers

I'm going to ring the doctor tomorrow and going to try and get on the list to have my bloody gallbladder out. I have been saying I'll do it when I lose weight but I never seem to and after 13 years I have had enough.

This was me this time last year! So you have my sympathies [flower]

I was so miserable and uncomfortable every day. I became pretty scared of food (but felt horribly sick if I didn't eat).

I lasted til Christmas Eve then had it out privately. Best decision ever - eat totally normally now.

I'm now on antibiotics with an appointment with the Consultant in 3 weeks time. Instructions to get seen again if temperature goes up more or flu like symptoms as might need to be admitted apparently.

I can sympathise with you I have just had mine removed 2 weeks ago, I found most things set it off and was just surviving on water, fish in parsley sauce and bran flakes with skimmed milk.
I is the worse pain, I would gladly give birth 10 times than suffer with gallbladder pain again.
