Snotty, sneezy, sickness, diahorrea and temperatures - HELP ME!

DS (aged 2) has been a bit off for a while and finally started getting a bit snotty at the start of the week. He has gone downhill rapidly, starting on Thursday when I had to bring him home from the childminder with a massive temperature (he looked like a deflated beetroot). Friday night he was sick, Saturday morning he had diahorrea and then he just puked and puked yesterday with some raging temperatures and the pattern continues today (except with minimal diahorrea as he hasn't kept enough down to fill a nappy).

Is there something particularly horrid going around (DP has the viral snotty temperature thing but no sickness/diahorrea). Does it sound as if he has sickness and diahorrea on top of a different virus?

What's the best thing to do? He still wants to eat and drink although eating very selectively though and I am giving him whatever he wants atm

Oh, forgot to mention that I can't give him any medicine as it seems to trigger his vomiting reflex.

There is a nasty virus going around (norovirus?) which it is possible to catch repeatedly and if he was already fighting off a cold then his abilty to then fight off the tummy bug would have been lowered. dd was sick Thrusday / Friday and both dh and I ahve had dodgy tums since. If he still has a temperature but is still sicky then try to get hold of some paracetamol suppositories. Avoid solid food but offer lots of sips of water and something like dioraltye or flat coke to replenish sugar and minerals. Also be scrupulous about hygiene to avoid you, dp or your ds getting reinfected. Gradually intoridcue soldis after at ;east 12, rpeferably 24, hours of not being sick - toast , banana, chicken , carrot , rice etc and limit dairy if you can.

Thanks LIZS. Sounds like a plan
