My guess would be low blood sugar - particularly given that she eats very little.

How old is she?

WigWamBam · 31/01/2007 16:44

Sorry, just realised you said she was 6.

I'd get the GP to check her over anyway, just to be on the safe side. But I think it's important that she eats regularly. Does she have breakfast in the morning?

My guess is that it's probably something to do with her eating, yes. Her blood sugars will probably be all over the place.

I'd get her checked out with the GP anyway, though, in case there's another reason for her dizziness.

Have you seen the doctor yet, Aimsmum? What did they say?

Oh gosh - how worrying.

Please don't do any more googling, you'll scare yourself to death!

Hope the appointment comes through quickly.

Could it be low blood pressure Aimsmum? I used to get dizzy as a little girl & have done as an adult too. I have very low blood pressure & particularly early in the morning would feel dizzy.
If you suspect anaemia, I'm pretty sure Floradix do a good children's supplement. I take the grown up stuff as I am constantly borderline anaemic.
Hope you get it sorted.

You should never give iron supplements to children without a doctors advice.
It is very easy to overdose children with iron and it is the number one cause of toxic poisoning in children.
