Siestas at work

I recently had a few months off from my normal job and got into having siestas, even if I put my head down for 30 mins it made all the difference to my energy and mood later. I am now back at work in a demanding job. I have an hour for work am always starving so eat loads then feel rubbish for the rest of the day. I actually think I am not really that hungry but actually tired in my lunch break. I really want to find some way/somewher to take a nap and thdn just have a light snack. Any ideas?

I'm fascinated by people who can nap...do you set an alarm to wake up?

I'm also impressed you have a prayer room...Id go in there.

We have a staff room with comfy chairs and it's not unknown for people to have a sleep during lunch. mind you it's not unknown for people to nap during meetings

My husband manages a power nap over lunch pretty much everyday. I have no idea how he does it - there is no way I'd manage to drop off at work despite my office being very private Hmm

Hope you have a good nap :)
I can't sleep very well at night in my comfy bed let alone at work, great if you can though.

I've done this in the toilets and the mothers room/prayer room depending on time of year, my need vs the needs of others but never as a regular thing. Maybe you need to address your energy levels through diet as well.

Train you're right about diet I have porridge every morning when I arrive at work at 8am. But at 1 I'm always starving and have a largish lunch which I buy, fish pots veg, that sort of thing. So I think I'm actually tired at this point and want to sleep then eat something small like sushi or a salad. I am a single parent with 4 children though haha! So probably that's why I'm knackered!

My old boss used to book himself a meeting room for an hour if he felt the need (this was when he had 2 under 3 and was running a multimillion pound business with about 4 hours' sleep a night).

I love that other people have napped in the toilets on nights out - I am a total sleepy drunk and have been mocked by my friends for this!
