I know that when they test your blood for anaemia the 'scor' is measured in units, and a below a certain number you are classed as anaemic. Can someone please let me know those numbers? I have a vague recolection it is somethng like below 11 is not good, and between 11 - 15 is normal. But I may have got that totally wrong!

TIA

googling gives this info:

simple blood test can measure the number of red cells and the amount of haemoglobin in the blood. The normal amount is at least 13g/dl (13 grams of haemoglobin per decilitre of blood) for men and 11g/dl for women. This test can determine if you are anaemic, but does not identify the cause of the anaemia.

they have an iron test that they use for giving blood... woman have to be over 120'units of something' and men over 135.

not sure what the unit of it is tho!

Different according to whether pregnant or not. Non pregnant women should be over 12. Pregnant women need to be over 11. You can 'feel' anemic though even if you are between 11 and 12 when pregnant. In such cases iron can really help.
