... so that means I will be running around him 24/7 now

Silly bugger slipped on the ice this morning.
I thought it was incredably funny at first (I know, I'm really mean) but the implications of it is just sinking in...

oooo crap.... on both your behalfs.

will he be off work for long?

is he being a typical man about it?

Biglips · 26/01/2007 22:25

errr.....no as he only had broken his arm, lucky it wasnt his leg or otherwise you would be looking after him

oh dear poor Dp.

PanicPants · 26/01/2007 22:30

Yes, he's being a total typical man, and although I'm grateful he's not seriously hurt, I've lost count at how many times I've had to pass him his drink, go to the kitchen and get things for him etc etc, you'd think he's got broken legs and not an arm

that said a broken bone is quite a shock to the system... pamper him for 24 hours then let him get on with it. works with my dp, he's so grateful that i was nice to him and gave him sympathy he tried extra hard to not be any trouble

DumbledoresGirl · 26/01/2007 22:33

I have broken my arm once and my ds1 has done it three times. Unless he has his entire arm in plaster, eg elbow bent, it shouldn't be too much of an issue after a couple of days. At least, washing is a problem but nothing much else is affected. So don't let him give you the runaround.

VelmaDinkley · 26/01/2007 22:36

just tell him he's injured not ill!... he'll need to use the arm to keep it's strength & not stiffen up... hope he improves!

Biglips · 26/01/2007 22:38

make sure you've got ya whip out ready to get him into gear if he doesnt shapen up in the next few days

RustyBear · 26/01/2007 22:44

Be careful in bed! When DH broke his arm a couple of years ago he'd turn over and wham! 5lbs of plaster would hit me in the norks. I moved into the spare room for the duration.

PanicPants · 27/01/2007 20:15

lol rustybear - dp slept in the spare room last night as he didn't want me banging into him during the night. (he's not in plaster yet as the break's near his elbow and he has to wait until fracture clinic on Monday)

I had a lovely nights sleep though
