He was sick after breakfast and hasn't had anything since. Would a piece of toast hurt?

hmm, maybe offer a piece of toast if he wants something

be prepared that he may be sick again though
and if he is better off starving him

Lilliput · 26/01/2007 14:34

Well, here goes! He has toast and jam, here's hoping it stays down.

Where do you live Trinity? Just looked at your profile, I'm in DG10!

I was advised to feed if they were hungry, not starve like they used to do.
Avoid Dairy and citrus. Toast should be a good start. Hope he gets better soon.

Lilliput · 26/01/2007 16:37

two hours later and so far so good

Lilliput · 26/01/2007 17:07

maybe one of these days a meet up might happen?
So what is safe to give him for tea, fish fingers or cereal?

Pasta??

amidaiwish · 26/01/2007 17:17

toast, plain pasta, rich tea biscuits - i would give him food if he wants it. no butter, cheese, milk etc. lots to drink - lemonade.

Notquitesotiredmum · 26/01/2007 17:21

scrambled eggs is a gentle first meal too, followed by a rich tea biscuit. (I always keep a pack in the cupboard, for kids who have been sick and then are staaaarrrrving for the next day or so!)

Lilliput · 26/01/2007 18:17

He's had some plain pasta and a drink of squash. Dd now seems off her food again. She had this sickness bug on Wednesday and still seems pretty floppy. I did send her to nursery today but she has barely eaten anything today. God I hope they are both better by Sunday because dh and I have a child free night away booked and if we don'y go we will be charged to full wack of £200. Of course I may now get it. Shite!

Oh dear!

Lilliput · 28/01/2007 15:28

Yesterday was not good. Dh threw up in the morning and as we run a restaurant with him as the only chef we had to close and cancel a full restaurant of people. Way to risky, a sickness bug and catering do not mix.
I'm better today and dh has done lunch service and hopefully in about an hour we are going to get away for our childfree night however I don't think we will be getting the best out of the fabby restaurant with rooms we are going too. Sods law eh!
