I think egg does bind the stomach but I haven't tried it on my kids. Not sure they would want it if they felt poorly!

Lisa78 · 05/06/2004 15:21

myth gets my vote!

Piffleoffagus · 05/06/2004 15:32

not heard that one, I always thought toast did it...

Levanna · 05/06/2004 16:54

Banana is brilliant for binding!

Levanna · 05/06/2004 16:55

On the other hand, I gave DD egg ONCE when she had a dodgy tum - never again! The smell, the smell !

Levanna · 05/06/2004 16:56

Oops, sorry - and no, it didn't work.

foxinsocks · 05/06/2004 17:08

was just making tea when I read that Levanna

For some reason, I always fancy marmite on toast (no butter) and that always sorts me out. Egg and banana do bind but I think they would probably not help your tum if it was feeling poorly anyway. Just plain, not milk product stuff.

arse

Are you BRATing? Bananas (ok, no), rice, apples, toast. I find that matza (water biscuits) even more binding than bog-standard toast. Egg is binding, but if he's squitting because of an upset tummy it might have the reverse effect - and make him squit upwards!

I'd just give him bland stuff - baked potato, toast, pasta and wait
But then, its not my house he's in

codswallop · 06/06/2004 21:38
