Aqueous cream is brilliant if it's just dry and chapped skin due to the weather. DS had really sensitive skin when he was a newborn and I used to bath him in it and then moisturise him with it afterwards. P uses it now because his hands get really chapped this time of year and it doesn't irritate. It's cheap too, you can get a big 500g tub for about a fiver.

I had eczema from constant hand washing and saw a dermatologist who said that I should was hands with an emollient like Doublebase or Diprobase or E45 do one now so moisturises the hands when you wash with them. The Body Shop do a fantastic hand cream called Hemp, don't like the scent but moisturises effectively and doesn't leave a film.

L'Occitane link via Amazon is here , though I get mine from Debenhams. Expensive but you don't need much and it really is fab.

i remember a friend said she used something called hemp cream from bodyshop and said it worked. I didn't like the smell of it though

Definitely the L'Occitane or the Body Shop Hemp one. I've got both, and they're great. I also like the Clarins one, but it's pretty expensive.
