Probably just being wierd and paranoid but for the last couple of weeks dd has been peeing tonnes at night even if she hasn't had much to drink during the day. She's having to be changed at some point in the night most nights as she'd flooded the nappy and bed.

Today for instance she only had half a cup of milk before bed and hadn't drunk her juice with dinner, the last drink she had before that was half a cup of juice about 2/3pm but she woke up about half an hour ago having soaked completely through a very absorbant hemp nappy (boosted) that 3 weeks ago would have lasted unboosted til the morning without a gliche.

So am i just being a bit paranoid or would you bring her to the doctors?

Hmm, is it just at night?

How old is she? It could be just that she is peeing less frequently so when she does, there is more of it, iyswim. Can you check with your HV? Or call nhs direct, to put your mind at rest?

PinkTulips · 21/01/2007 16:10

i'm in Ireland so no NHS direct

She's 2 this week.

The thing is a few of the nights i know she peed right before having her night nappy put on so the stored up pee theory doesn't really work.

I'm not even sure i know what i'm worried is wrong with her... it just seems so odd IYKWIM?

I have heard that around this age they start to gain some control when awake over their bladder. this means they pass more at night?

Our DD is 2 in 2 weeks and has HUGE nappies overnight. Don't forget that if she is eating plenty of fruit and veg they contain a lot of water too. I'm not worried about our DD but ring your GP if you are. Just to put your mind at rest. x

that's really interesting flossam..... she does seem to be getting very aware of er daytime peeing as she tells us when she's going and even asks to sit on the toilet sometimes am even planning on starting toilet training because of it!

that's true about the fruit and other foods too chipbutty... hadn't even thought of that

so definitely me being paranoid and mad then, lol!
