My DD and fish oil supplements - the results

I wasnt sure where I should post this but anyway........
At the beginning of Nov I attended a Parents Night at my DDs school and was upset at how badly she was doing.
She is clever (and because she is adopted I dont feel that I can take any credit) we were being told she would probably pass her exams but that she was not likely to do as well as expected in most subjects.
As this is her exam year (Scottish system)we came away from the meeting quite despondent because she is very capable.
When we spoke to my DD she said that she was finding the course work difficult and was finding it difficult to concentrate.
My DD did promise that she would try a bit harder and I asked her if she would be willing to try a fish oil supplement to see if it made any difference.
Today she has come home form school to say that she has achieved 100% in a french written exam and her latin teacher has written this on her exam paper

"xxxx this is really good - one of the best attempts anyone has made of this so far EVER
well done
She has achieved an A plus.
Perhaps it is not the fish oil supplemets which are making the difference who knows maybe it is my great parenting skills
Just thought that I would pass this on for anyone who is interested.

Fantastic! I'm really pleased for you and her. Just the confidence boost she would have needed.
I'm not too sure how long the fish oils need to be in the system before they have an effect I vaguely remember somebody quoting 3 months for general vitamins, but not sure about fish oils. I do know however that ds1 (3.9) does seem much more able to concentrate when he is taking them. I stopped for a while as I was worried about the aspartame in them, but quite honestly I've just bought some yesterday as I think the benefits outweigh any possible conerns about sweetener content.
Well done again -although I'm sure your exceptional parenting skills were also a factor!

I tried ds with those as I'd heard v good reports about them but he will only have orange flavoured ones as these were the ones he tried first, so we're stuck with the Haliborange chewy ones.

smoggie
you can buy it in liquid form with different flavours ie vanilla.
I tries haliborange too but switched to eye q when I read about a trial which had amazing results using this.

I got Halib orange ones for DS - Formulated for teenagers in the beehive shaped pot. He certainly seems better since starting them 2 months ago.
