Laugh daily!

Make an effort to smile more and try smiling at strangers (without being creepy).
Spend time with playful people who make you laugh including pets and children.
Take yourself less seriously - share embarrassing moments and laugh at yourself. Remind yourself of a miserable person that you know so that you can avoid behaving like them (that really made me laugh for some reason!)
Try to find humour in bad or difficult situations rather than getting irritated or annoyed.
Build fun activities into your day such as watching comedies, going to a comedy club, reading comics, hosting a game night, reading funny books, telling jokes, karaoke, bowling, miniature golf, riding roller coasters and acting like a kid.
If smiling doesn't come naturally to you then practice laughing in front of the mirror until it does Grin

Really well done Purple

And isn't it such a bloody shame that we can't do a simple thing like smile at each other, in the park, because the sun is shining, without worrying that we will be misunderstood.

He smiled back and you both went about your days Smile

I'm late to the thread this week. I had a really stressful week. I mentioned on the positivity thread that I'm generally a positive, happy person so I do think I smile a lot. Just this week has been too serious. I'm wondering if there are any good comedies on Amazon Prime I can watch to relax.

Thanks Oddsocks we had a good meeting at school, it was just a bit heavy going. The disabilities nurse is on our case, so it's good to have the support. I'm doing a generosity pack in Headspace atm, today's task is to use kindness with words to someone. I can tie that in with a smile! I will search that thread out. Dd2 has a cold and is at home again. I need some laughter!

Glad the meeting went well quirky and hope your dd feels better soon.

Grin Oddsocks but did you take her up on her offer? I usually get people telling me their life story for some reason, I must have one of those faces. I'm nosey anyway and love hearing about other people's lives but at times it can be a bit tmi - like I don't need to know you've done time in jail ta very much.

That reminds me of the reddit group 'British problems', always good for a laugh at ourselves.

Hope everything is ok NightWanderer. Sorry I have Netfix and not sure what's on Prime.

Purple Ribbon, that is why I tend not to smile at men my age and I wonder why I'm still hopelessly single :)

Not too bad a week, dd always makes me laugh at least once a day and yesterday I couldn't help but smile at passersby when out for a run as the sun was out and it was reasonably warm for a change. I find sunny weather always helps my mood.

I'll start a new thread in a bit - still waiting to hear jokes from you all!

I just do the nod and 'really?' Grin Probably why they keep on talking Hmm

No jokes from me I'm a 'there was two guys walking down a road. No, no it was one guy. One guy, was walking down the road. No sitting on the street..' I tell jokes like me mum, useless. If I do come across a funny link in the future I shall think of this thread and link however :) Off to check new thread.

No joke, but I did watch life of brian. The bit with 'he's not the mesiah, he's a very naughty boy' has me in stitches, every time, without fail!

I love Life of Brian. Clue always cracks me up too, it's so cheesy but so funny. Tim Curry is amazing.

Oh we watched Life of Brian with dd1 the other week. There are so many funny bits, it's hard to choose! As someone who did Latin O level (yes, I am old enough) the writing Romans go home around the square always cracks me up. But almost every scene is very funny. One of my favourite films.
