Rectocele

I have what I assume is a rectocele. I'm 49 and have had 5 kids, am about 6 stone overweight and have suffered from ibs for 20+ years. I suppose it was inevitable that this would happen.

I am trying to get a go appt but in the meantime was hoping I might get some info and advice on here. I more often than not am aware of its presence, when I walk or when I need a bowel movements it's much more pronounced. I also seem to have more discharge than normal but not sure if that's down to perimenopause.

For the last couple of months I'be felt as though my period is about to start, my nipples are very sore, I have spots and been getting cramping pains but no period. My last one was about 10 months ago.

Anyway I'm rambling a bit but if anyone has any words of wisdom it would be much appreciated.

No words of wisdom but I have one too, so sympathy! I also need to go to the gp but it's hard scheduling an appointment when I can go without the kids. Mine doesn't cause me too many problems if I eat plenty of fibre (otherwise I have to "splint") but I desperately want to do more exersize and I now can't because of it (I can't go swimming for medical reasons so limited to cycling and walking). I miss high impact activity!

If it makes you feel better I am 30s, 2 kids, not overweight, always done keels. I think some of us are just born with crap pelvic floors Sad
