Baby with Bronchitis and wont keep any milk down. What to do?

I took ds to the gp's yesterday afternoon and he said he has Bronchitis. He also said if he got any worse to take him to hospital. Today, like yesterday, he wont keep any milk down and I'm lucky if I get him to keep the anti B's down too.
Dh said that him not having milk wont be a bad thing and just to give him water but the problem is that he has reflux and cannot keep water down at the best of times anyway.

Can I ignore the milk and just do water if it works or does he still need the milk?
I'm a bit loathed to take him into hospital just yet as he's not struggling with his breathing or anything like that. Obviously if he did I would take him but not sure if its a good idea for this.

Have you tried just giving him 1/2 oz at a time? That's what the hospital used to advise with dd.

Well tbh thats all he seems to take anyway. Or maybe an oz or so.
Did your dd go into hospital?

give him a flannel to suck on..
also, if in doubt..go to hospital. better to be safe than sorry...especially if can;t keep antibiotics down
if you give the skin on his tummy a gentle pinch, and it doesn;t sort of snap back, he could be getting dehydrated...is he producing wet nappies? .babies can go downhill fairly rapidly....hope he is ok very soon xxx

He's just had a bit more milk and that seems to have stayed down up till now.

Yes nbg - she used to get recurrent chest infections, fortunately as she's got older she seems to be far more resilient

Hope he's feeling better soon. You could maybe try some Dioralyte if the milk won't stay down? The sugar and salts would help keem him hydrated.

What did they do in hospital? As I said his breathing seems to be ok so if we took him in, it would be for dehydration than anything else.
