Got really freaked out today when going for the doctors. I've had a skin infection in various places since before new year (after having laparoscopic surgery) and been on antibiotics since then on and off - now 4 lots of the same. I am 4 st overweight (mainly due to the fact I have a pain condition which makes any exercise very painful), which I'm doing my best to work on but I felt awful when the doctor turned around and asked me to go for a blood test for diabetes. I'm 26!!! I'm really scared about it and I'm wondering why the doctor hasn't done a swab to see what bacteria it is rather than just giving me the same antibiotics over and over again! I've been told it's infected eczema now - which is odd as I've never had eczema in that spot before. I'm just feeling mega drained now - I've got lymph draining from my ear piercing (which I've been told to take out but I'm going to ignore that because even on the NHS website it advices against it), I've had an infection like this before in my jaw/lip which was swabbed after the first lot of antibiotics didn't work. What should I do? Feel like I'm being pushed from pillar to post with all of it, been to doctors twice this week and I've generally had enough!!
