Blood in my poo

I have just googled and it looks serious, hoping someone can tell me it's not so serious I have to have tubes shoved down my throat or up my bum.

Background, apparently I have stress related ibs because I get constipated quite a lot and then have cramps and diarrhoea. The cramps are sp severe sometimes I can't move and the pain makes me vomit. The Dr won't even see me if I ever ring up about it and just prescribes movical and lactolose along with taking senna two and twice a day and suppositories.

Been constipated for a while but not where I'm not going at all. Have been having infrequent diarrhea and then normal bowl movements but not emptying. The Dr doesn't believe me that I'm not empty and says it's stress related. Until I can relax apparently this is how my stress will play out. (I'm not stressed)

I've just had another bout of diarrhea and there's bright red blood mixed in with poo and mucus. (way tmi sorry). Is this anything to be concerned about? Will the Dr want to see me now and will he examine me? I really don't want a rectal exam. Is this ok to wait until Monday or should I ring 111?

I agree with peggy I lost half a stone in a week before I was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with Crohns. That amount of weight loss would worry me especially combined with your other symptoms. The colonoscopy itself is ok, it's the prep before that gets me every time. They offer sedation which helps & I also had gas & air & pethedine last time as it was only 6 weeks after my op & I was still a little sensitive. I'm one of those strange people who quite like seeing their insides on a screen so I find the whole thing fascinating
