this would be the kind of ailment that, when I said to mum as a kid 'it hurts when I do this', she would reply 'well don't do it then'

cutekids · 17/12/2006 21:07

yes!that's what i said originally! however, she's had it all day and i've got more worried about it as the day's gone on.

She might have a slightly dislocated jaw.

Mine is like this. Most of the time it is fine but ocasionally it jars slightly at one side and for a couple of days it will bother me. She could try yawning very widely and it might pop back.

Get a GP to check it out. If it is the same as mine, a mouthguard to wear at night might help guide it back into place properly.

Well thankyou,st george.

drummumadrumming · 17/12/2006 22:41

how old is your DD.... she hasn't got any back teeth coming through has she?

mummydear · 17/12/2006 22:58

Could be back teeth , I had similar when my wisdom teeth used to play up.

cutekids · 17/12/2006 23:01

Strangely enough, i'm having major probs with my wisdom teeth at the moment so first thing i thought was that her teeth were playing up.she reckons her teeth are fine though.
