I've had a lump appear down below the size of a golf ball?

Just like it says above,just been to the toilet(sorry TMI)and I found it uncomfortable and a bit strange when I'd finished.

I checked and straight away I felt a lump,it's really hard and the size of a golf ball,maybe a bit bigger.

I have been getting pain down below for the past 3-4 weeks but I put that down to the fact that I'd had to get some internal scans done and they'd found some fibroids on both of my fallopean tubes,one side had a few small one's and the other side had one quite large one.There's no way the lump could have been there then.

I'm not on the pill or anything like that.I have 5DC and I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year after I had our youngest DC,she's now 8 years old.

I'll be honest I haven't been back to my Dr's to get the results from the hospital,they've been intouch and told me I need to get to my Dr's,the problem was by the time the results came back our DC were broke up from school,our youngest is quite severly autistic and the thing that makes her the most anxious is Mummy having to go to the Dr's or being rushed into hospital.It happens alot,there's nothing I can do about it,I'm seriously ill and disabled now,so it's became part and parcel of my life and I can't get to the Dr's without my husbands help.

I'm going to go to the Dr's on Tuesday,I just need someone to tell me that they had the same before and it was nothing?

I'm sharing on here as I could do with some hand holding and there's no one else I can tell,I daren't tell my BF she'd fall apart with worry by next week bless her,and it would be the same with my other friends and all my female relatives.

I'd never tell any of my DC obviously.I have just told my Husband but he's been being an arse to me since yesterday so I really can't be bothered to talk to him about it.

Didn't want to read and run. Whereabouts is the lump - internal or external?
As for the other stuff try not to panic - I have had the same and had fibroids:polyps removed three times. It has been fine.

Sorry yes internal down at the bottom of the vagina.

It sounds like a Bartholin's cyst - they aren't nice but they aren't super scary as lumps can seem either.

Probably a cyst, quite common, all kinds of causes, not malignant, can be treated. Try not to fret. x

Sounds like a Bartholins cyst too. Harmless, but can be agonisingly painful and you may need to go to the gp if if gets worse. They can get infected and need medial attention. I ended up in hospital with one of mine, but a hot, salty bath can help and may burst the cyst, which is sometimes all you need.

Yup, to batholins cyst. I had one, I had it drained or removed (can't remember now) in hospital as an out patient. It was easy. It was very uncomfortable but not painful. I did walk like a duck for a bit afterwards Blush

It's reassuring that you've only noticed it in the last few weeks -very fast growth often indicates cysts.

Moose Oh my God I already waddle like a duck when I'm not in the wheelchair as it is,I'm going to be such a pretty sight aren't I.Grin

For those that had a cyst and had removed/drained in the hospital is it really quick?Like in and out the same day,something the youngest wouldn't know Mummy had had done?

Yup even it's the size of a grapefruit, usually in and out same day. Waddling not helped by need for stirrups, but alert your Dr etc to need for care in separating your hips and general handling.

Get it seen! They can get extremely painful and the bigger it grows the more invasive the treatment.

Can you get to a walk in centre or get emergency GP appointment tomorrow?

Matilda,I can't go to my Dr until tuesday morning,but I can get an emergency appointment with them though.

When I went to the hospital they drained the cyst, drew back the edges and stitched them to open up the area. It sounds a bit grim, but it really wan't too bad, was done under a general and I was out the next morning I think. I could have left sooner if I hadn't had a general anaesthetic. The treatment also prevents it happening again and I haven't had one since (about 20 years). I waddled far more when I went in for the procedure than when I came out. The relief was amazing.

I do think you ought to see a doctor though. It may be a cyst and need something doing or it may be something else entirely. You need proper medical advice.

tbh OP you can't get fibroids on fallopian tubes. Maybe you misheard? Maybe they were cysts? You only get fibroids in the womb.

You could have a prolapse. After 5 children it's quite likely. It could be a vaginal wall bulging or your bladder that's dropped. If this is what it is, then it can be fixed by surgery. You must see your dr.

Nobody here can possibly diagnose you on the details you've given. People are saying cyst but this could be a prolapse as you don't mention throbbing or pain

Honestly this sort of thing is impossible for anyone on the Internet to diagnose. See your GP and you'll get a definitive answer

Have you had a look with a mirror?
Is it worse when standing up and goes back when lying down?
If so it is likely to be a prolapse.
If you push the bulge does it 'lift back up'?

A Bartholin's cyst is not in the vagina- it's a gland outside on the labia that swells and can be infected. If this is actually in the vagina and coming out then that's likely to be prolapse.

Pizzaeater no I can't,I'm disabled now and can't get out and about on my own,so my DH would have to take me and we don't have anyone that can babysit,my Mum has passed away,my Dad has dementia and all of my DH's family are over 300 miles away.
