The area along my csection scar is red, and starting to get a bit weepy.
Any suggestions?
TIA

get a swab done of it (either midwife visiting you at home or ring your gp) to check. I did for first c/s but not 2nd (and it didn't hurt any more)

Go and see a doctor asap. In the mean time wipe the wound with some cool boiled water to give it a clean.

Sorry bit missed off title.
Not a recent c-section , over 5 years old.Had problems before but just one patch and it was very minor.

JollyOldSaintNikkielas · 14/12/2006 19:44

No walk in, just phone the GP at 8am and get through at 9am and get offered a phone call its crap, especially as its Friday and will be a PIA to sort out round work

how r u getting on?

JollyOldSaintNikkielas · 15/12/2006 20:10

not really weeping now, just red, thinks it looks worse than it is because of the overhanging skin [urgh], couldn't get an appointment but doesn't look bad enough. the Gp said to see emergency Gp ifi t gets worse over the w/e otherwise I have appointment for MOn pm.

well at least you know where you go ...just keep on wiping the wound and hope all be safely sound.

you can try bathing the wound in a mix of warm water and a few drops of tea tree oil - found it very helpful in the healing of my 2 c-section scars.

Shouldn't tsill be like this 5 years on should it!
