When won't the nurse give an immunisation iyswim?

Sorry about the clumsy thread title
Is it when lo has a cold or only if they have a temperature? Why don't they give them when they are ill?

Really only if they have raised temp. this is because vaccines can raise your temp anyway as part of how they work so if temps already high they don't want it to go higher!IYSWIM
If its a simple cold, not a chest infection and there are no other chronic illnesses which may be made worse by having the cold then vaccs should normally be given

Thanks for clearing that up for me! That's a relief as I didn't want to take her all the way down to the surgery, sit and wait ages as they are always late - onlt to be told to bugger off!!!
