Tips for non-feeding bottle fed baby with horrible cold.

My 5 month old has caught my horrible cold and is thoroughly miserable. The worst bit though is that he won't feed. He's clearly hungry as his little legs start kicking as he sees the bottle coming towards him - the teat goes in and he then can't suck - pushes the teat down one side of his cheek. He then gets really upset.
I've tried with a teaspoon this morning, but it took about an hour and a quarter....
It's going to be a long day !
Any tips?

try a snot sucker to get the snot out
snufflebabe rubbed onto chest
saline nasal drops before each feed
olbas oil on hanky in cot during naps
offer little and often and get whatever you can into him ... try a syringe/cup feeding if you can
Elevate the cot slightly during naps so the mucous can drain away better

when ds was in hospital with bronchiolitis (in france) the nurses showed me how to clean his nose with vials of saline, you can buy them in hte supermarket here as people are advised to use this method to clean noses of babies out a few times a day. You lay the child on side and squirt the saline into the nostril that's uppermost. It loosens everything up and makkes it easier to suck out with an aspirator. Don't know how well saline 'drops' work in comparison. They hate it but it's effective (I do wonder about swallowing saline water though, but the pharmacist might be able to help with that?)
