Allergy/excema/hayfever sufferers - are you having a weirdly unseasonable and extreme breakout at the moment?

Because I am - seems to have been getting steadily worse for about six weeks, and I am currently on eyedrops, betnovate, and minimum of four benadryl a day to just about keep it at bay?

Is anyone else suffering, and do you have any idea what might be setting it off? My eyes are itchy and watery like in high summer. The chemist this morning said she had sold a lot of antihistamines this week, so I wondered if anyone else had a clue why? Woss going on?

yep dd1 seems to have had trouble for a few weeks. With her it's also itchy eyes (mainly in the last few days) but otherwise little patches of eczema that dont seem to be triggered by anything obvious.

No idea why! Seasonal change?

central heating going on? xmas trees in shops? dusty decorations?

DD1 suffering at the moment with sneezing, itching ears ,eyes, throat etc.

not exactly - but it could be mould spores from the damp weather. Or dust on the bits of radiators that are really hard to clean. Or cleaning fluids/ residues in carpets because rooms don't get the air changes they get in summer. You could try an air filter and see if that helps.

Thanks for replies - it does seem to have coincided with the central heating, but why I've suddenly become especially vulnerable to it at the age of 42 is a mystery. Maybe I've just got more slovenly with age.
