just diarroeah or cow milk intolerance again?

DS is nearly 2 and has had diarroeah 3-4 times a day since Monday afternoon (not totally watery but very loose). He has no other symptoms apart from his very back 4 molars are coming through. He hasn't had diarroeah with teething before. I don't think it's a bug as he's eating fine etc. I am wondering what to do now as it's just not going away- do I starve him or keep going as we are for a few more days?

As a newborn he had diarroeah plus blood and this was due to a cow milk intolerance. However, we did a year without cow milk products, then reintroduced it when he was 1 and all has been fine for nearly a year. Does anyone know if it's poss for the intolerance to reoccur?

My DS1 was dairy intolerant. If he has been ok for that long I wouldnt have thought it would have returned. A bug may make his tummy a bit sensitive to it for a while though.

I remember DS1 having diarroeah for about 2 1/2 weeks when he was about 2 1/2. It felt like it went on for EVER.

It could possibly be his teeth.

Seeing as he has had a milk intolerance I would personally, keep him dairy free for a while but other than that feed him as usual. Avoid fruit such as grapes etc. Bananas are good - they 'bind' as do eggs. hth

Oh and if he still has it on Monday I would pop him along to the GP anyway just to get him checked out.

Thanks for replying. I'm really hoping it's not a milk intolerance thing. I've decided to go milk free from Saturday if he's still not right. Trouble is he lives for his milk!

my 2 1/2 year old son had diahorrea and no other sypmtoms and was fine in himself i took him to the doctors and they said it was called toddler diahorrea which is common in 2 year olds it is something to do with the gut developing , I thought it was something the doctor had fobbed me off with so i looked on the internet when I got home and there is such a thing .

I've heard of that too angmarie but thought it was a bit of a fob off, like you say. I will be at the dr's on Mon if things are no better.
