Pelvic toners

I hope this is in the right place...

I had my third baby 10 months ago. He was quite small (7lb 3oz) but decided to be born with his hands on his head, so didn't actually feel small at the moment of birth! All of my babies have been born fast, labour less than 3 hours every time. I've always done my pelvic floor exercises, I know how to do them properly and follow the instructions, and with my first two babies things got back to normal within a few months of the birth. But this time, that just isn't happening. I don't have any urinary incontinence issues whatsoever- (if anything I quite often find it difficult to go, even when my bladder is very full- it's like I have to force my urethra to open, if that makes any sense) but my vaginal tone is just rubbish. Really, really rubbish. I have the weighted cones and even if I use the largest one without weights I can barely keep it in at all, and even if I do manage to hold onto it, it's not for long.

So I'm looking at the electronic pelvic toners. If they could get me to the point where I can use the weighted cones properly I'd be delighted. Can anyone recommend one? And does anyone know whether the difficulty urinating thing could be related to my toneless foof?

I had one, it was a tens one. Used it for a bit and I did notice am improvement in the 'not leaking when you laugh' department but I wouldn't say it was a pleasant thing to use. I'm lazy with pfe and that coupled with multiple births pretty much back to back didn't do me any favours but it did work.

The problem with weeing is related. It's likely you have a bladder prolapse ( sorry) which means that your bladder has dropped below the level of your urethra bulging into the vagina (there are some nice diagrams online for this) so that in effect your wee has to travel uphill to come out! This is why you have no leakage too.
Exercises might work but there comes a point where only taking out the slack with surgery is the answer.
Have you thought about asking for a gynae referral so they can assess the 'damage'?
I've heard that exercising for 50 squeezes daily for 6 months gives the best results and if it hasn't worked by then, it won't.

I recently spoke to my GP about my knackered pelvic floor. She recommended buying one of these PFX
It cost £100 (not sure why, it seems a relatively simple set up) and I can certainly feel a difference after a few months use. It is based on bio feedback so you can feel exactly where and how hard you need to squeeze.

I've just ordered a hab it DVD but not tried it yet. I got it from Amazon, might be worth a look. They say that prolapses can be fixed without surgery by doing the exercises
