Hello all

After a previous thread suggested I possibly have a introverted uterus. Or maybe endo? Either way I get the worst digestive issues leading up to my period(diarohea, constipation, farts, feeling of pressure) and digestive issues post-sex and had had a lot of back/rectum stuff when prgnant. It's getting worse, without sounding dramatic it's impacting my life/job and I'm waiting for the menopause, likely to lose job soon. I can feel something heavy on my rectum - tmi sorry. And the first 14 days of cycle I forget these symptoms.
I've been to dr's twice and given a few blood tests and told to eat more fruit! Anyone know of any London specialists who could help with uterus/digestive/endo/link? Osteopath/surgeon etc
I'm at wits end and don't just want diet advice from doc.
Many thanks!

GPs are not always up to speed at all when it comes to such problems.

A retroverted uterus is unlikely to be the root cause of all your symptoms; normally a retroverted uterus is discovered during pregnancy and this causes no problems.

Endometriosis can and does cause bowel involvement; it makes me wonder if you've previously been misdiagnosed as having IBS.

Blood tests and ultrasound scans will not detect endometriosis if it is there; its usually only found during a keyhole surgery op called a laparoscopy.

Thank you very much Attila.
I'm begin to wonder if it is endometriosis. I don't have pain issues so I've never thought this could be it.
Anyone I go to or any doc just gives me diet advice and tells me to relax. But my issues are not there the first 14 days of cycle. If a doc isn't interested I'm not sure how to get a diagnosis and indeed what to do, once/if I get a diagnosis.
Thanks again!
