Hi, I am a rubbish traveler and have been since I was a young child. My family live a 4/5 hour car journey away from me and because of where I live the roads are very windy for most of the way. I generally always feel sick as a front seat passenger, although I rarely am sick. There is also a ferry I can take although I recently couldn't get out the bathroom for an hour on it as it was quite choppy and every time I stood up I was horrendously sick.
I used to take stugeron which worked well and I had no side affects.
My DD is 9.5 months and I'm still breastfeeding her. Because of this I can no longer take stugeron but pharmacist gave me kwells to take.
They have such a horrible effect on me, my mouth/eyes and nose get so dry to point of swallowing is difficult and blinking is tough. They also make me feel as if I'm drunk!! I remember another travel sickness tablet doing this to me before I discovered stugeron.
I now need to decide whether I want to feel/be sick or feel like I'm drunk and not seen water in days!
I've tried ginger tablets and those wrist bands but neither have helped.
Is there anything else I could take? It takes hours for the effect to wear off.
To make it worse DD also gets very car/boat sick but there's nothing I can give her unfortunately
.
Sorry for long post - just wondering if there is anything else I could take which would be safe while I'm bf.
Thanks.
