Having ultrasound guided injection for frozen shoulder

. . . on Saturday and am feeling really nervous.

Hi everyone, I have had a frozen shoulder, on and off for the best part of a year now. Its my dominant arm and I'm finding it so disabling this time round. I had one in the other shoulder in 2008/9 which went eventually with physio. This one though is so much more painful. I also have bouts of numbness in my hand which my consultant thinks is mild Carpal Tunnel. I am having the shoulder and wrist done together. I am really worried about the pain as I am so stiff. When I had my MRI and nerve conduction test I 'YouTubed' it to get an idea of what to expect. I have had a look but I'm worried about how it feels afterwards and what to expect really. I know it is an individual thing but I haven't been given much advice other than not to drive and there is a small possibility of post injection infection. I know I won't get 100% movement back but anything really would be a bonus. I have been able to hide it so far from work (I'm a teacher so on Summer hols) but it really is starting to have an impact on my day to day life.

What was it like for you? Thanks for sharing.

I've had both my shoulders operated on in the past year for restricted movement and pain ,I have also prior to that had numerous steroid injections in both shoulders . The ops have been fantastic , but I would say get referred to a shoulder specialist as a general othopod did my first arm and it was done as an open procedure and the recovery took considerably longer whereas the shoulder specialist did the second via an arthroscope and it was much better ( I had excision clavicle and release on both) . After 18 months of constant nagging pain it's fantastic to not have to keep taking tablets and be pain free .

I've had FS coming on for the last 7 months I've never had such continual pain like it ever before it seems to radiate down my arm through to my fingertips. Ibuprofen tablets and gel work for a while but not long I've had a cortisone injection but it didn't help the next Is scan guided I'm pinning my hopes on it as it's so hard just to do normal things like housework getting dressed washing my hair etc it's making me really upset. And now I here it could manifest in the other shoulder / what a life 😳
