Really itchy bottom

Blush

Don't think it's threadworms ... but it's the right 'place' (anus.) It is itchy to the point of actually hurting.

Any help before I shame myself in public ?!

I'd probably treat myself for threadworms anyway, wash bedding/towels etc and see how I was in a few days.

Marshy · 17/07/2015 16:46

It might be piles.

You can get some soothing cream otc at the chemist.

countryandchickens · 17/07/2015 16:46

I'm pregnant at present and I don't think it's advised to take.

I'm fairly sure it's not piles - have seen them before Shock cripes!

It is a treatable condition. If it doesn't go away quickly then go to the doctor and get it fixed.

RattleAndRoll · 17/07/2015 16:49

Oh didn't know you are pregnant so definitely ignore my advice!

countryandchickens · 17/07/2015 16:51

Thank you :) Rattle no worries; I should have said in my OP!

It could be piles. I'm pregnant and have just one tiny 'lump' there which flares up sometimes Blush. It is quite itchy sometimes.

countryandchickens · 17/07/2015 17:00

I always thought piles were massive!

Would someone else DH be able to tell ...?

OP posts:
Rosieliveson · 17/07/2015 19:46

I can feel mine and can also see if I crouch over a compact mirror Blush
It's just a really small 'extra' lump at the entrance to my bottom.

countryandchickens · 17/07/2015 22:15

It's really hurting Blush Sad

DH has looked Blush and confirmed it is not piles.

Ow.

Hmm, could be a fissure.
Have you been constipated and had trouble going? (Strange question from a random onliner I know!) Sometimes you can get a small tear which is itchy and can be sore as it heals. May be worth mentioning to GP or midwife.

Marshy · 18/07/2015 11:53

Piles can be internal so he wouldn't be able to see them.

Get along to the gp. No need to suffer this. There are things that will help.

countryandchickens · 18/07/2015 12:10

Thanks; I had a massive poo a few days ago so it might have been that. Really hurts!
